Random Industry Thoughts

Wanted to share a couple of random thoughts from industry friends. I was chatting with Greg Doherty of Poms Insurance, and asked what his favorite color was. “Blue,” said Greg. “Always has been and I really can’t explain why. The car I drive now is Jetstream Blue.”

I also asked what type of pen he prefers to use for writing (ballpoint, gel)? “Ballpoint blue,” he says, adding. “And is it my imagination or are blue pens getting harder to find?”

Also, I recently talked with Paul Flowerman, president of PL Thomas. He does a lot of international travel. I asked him what his greatest travel luxury was. Paul smiled and said, “I usually fall asleep before the first meal is cleared and do not wake up until after the arrival meal has been served.” Then I asked, what do you love about what you do? He said, “I am actively learning every day, and I believe that I continue to be a positive influence in the lives of many of my colleagues and in the community. It is worth the really hard work.”
