CERRITOS, Calif.–Captek Softgel International Inc. hired Lisa J. Clark as vice president of business development.

Clark has more than 21 years of food and dietary supplement industry history having acquired various levels of experience in accounting, operations, marketing, sales and business management. Prior to joining Captek, she was director of business development at Natural Alternatives International, and director of sales/business development for Deerland Enzymes, both specialty contract manufacturers of nutritional supplements. Clark has also held key management roles at Watson Foods, Essentially Pure Ingredients (Natrol), Klaire Laboratories, National Enzyme Company, French’s Ingredients and Int’l Dehydrated Foods. She was also principal/owner of Jean Enterprises, a consulting agency that served the organizational needs of industry brands within the physician, MLM retail, and direct-response consumer channels.

Captek has made several key hires since it received an investment form Skyline Global Partners LLC and Prairie Capital V in April 2011, including the hiring of David Wood as chief executive officer. “Our escalated standard in hiring talented professionals with proven dedication to the dietary supplement industry only adds to the value-proposition CSI brings to our customers and the industry as a whole," Wood said. “Captek Softgel’s success has been built on the fundamentals of delivering a high quality product, on time with a high degree of professionalism and focus on customer service.  Lisa only enhances that for us, and I am sure our customers will agree."

Captek Softgel International, which provides manufacturing services in the domestic and international markets for dietary supplements, expanded its softgel manufacturing capacity to supply full-service contract support for the nutraceutical industry. CSI is an NSF cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) approved facility.
