Wegner Named Main Street Ingredients Ops Director

LA CROSSE, Wis.–Shawn Wegner is the new director of operations for Main Street Ingredients, following the retirement of Rudy Rott from his position as the company’s vice president of operations. Wegner, Main Street’s plant manager since 2008, is replacing Rott, a 30-year industry veteran who will stay on as a consultant through the end of the year.

Wegner brings more than 21 years of food industry experience to his new role. He has worked in a variety of capacities including lab testing, process development, production management and operations management.

“It is with a heavy heart that we part ways with Rudy, who has no doubt been an integral part of the growth and success of Main Street, " said Main Street Ingredients’ president, Bill Schmitz. "However there is no one we would rather have step up to the plate than Shawn. His intuition has proved to be an invaluable asset and his drive to continuously improve promises great things for our future."
