BIO-CAT Joins NPA, CRN
TROY, Va.—BIO-CAT Inc. joined the Natural Products Association (NPA) and the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) as corporate members, which the company said will give them voting rights on important legislative issues.
The NPA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the natural products industry that represents more than 1,900 diverse members from small health food stores to large dietary supplement manufacturers.
The CRN, based in Washington, is a trade association representing dietary supplement manufacturers and ingredient suppliers. CRN members manufacture national and store brands marketed by major supermarkets, drug stores and discount chains, as well as natural food stores and mainstream direct selling companies. BIO-CAT joined CRN at the same time as another enzyme ingredient supplier, Deerland Enzymes Inc.
BIO-CAT Inc. is a custom formulator and blender of enzymes for a variety of industries including dietary supplements, animal feeds, food and other industrial markets. BIO-CAT Microbials is a manufacturer and custom formulator of bacterial spore products for use in animal feed, agricultural, wastewater treatment and aquaculture markets. In addition to complying with a host of federal and state regulations governing dietary supplements, BIO-CAT Inc. adheres to voluntary guidelines for manufacturing, marketing and CRN’s Code of Ethics.
