Sanofi-Aventis, the maker of well known drugs such as Allegra and Ambien, plans to enter the dietary supplement industry through multiple acquisitions according to media reports. FYI- They already bought the number 2 DS brand in Australia, Symbion last month. Wyeth's CentrumĀ is the number 1 brand WW, so this is not new. What is happening is more of big Pharma looking to tap into the $$ the natural products industry makes. More to come, I bet!!
