Down economy means companies must step up efficiency 10/10/2008 12:22
Assuming that the entire economy does not melt down and we find ourselves growing our own food and using burros for transportation, what should we as entrepreneurs be doing? Certainly it is a time to look at efficiency. Note that efficiency does not mean freezing activities or eliminating them. But, we do need to look at how we do things, why we do things, and whether these activities deliver the return on investment that we want. In my world, marketing consumes much of my time and energy. In times of uncertainty or economic challenge, it is absolutely critical to look at your marketing strategies and ensure that you are getting the most value that you can.
