I shot this video of Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) speaking to members of the Natural Products Association and congressional staffers at Natural Products Day March 23 in DC. Pardon the low quality (shot it with my Blackberry), but the content is important. Sen. Harkin has been a long time supporter of consumer access to dietary supplements. During Natural Products Day, we had meetings all over Capitol Hill with our Senators and Representatives to talk about DSHEA, the value of dietary supplements, nutrition and prevention, etc. It was a great day, and I strongly encourage you to join us for this event in 2011. It helps ensure that lawmakers understand that our industry is important to the health and economy of the nation.
