I’m a big fan of fish oil, and I’m a big fan of GOED (Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3). I like the work they’ve done to improve the quality of the fish oil supplement segment, and I like their educational efforts.

On that note, GOED is a partner and participant in an Omega-3 Fatty Acid short course, which will cover market data and trends, the regulatory climate, biochemistry, labeling, processing technologies, quality control, health benefits and product applications for omega-3 fatty acids, including fish oils.

In addition o GOED, top omega-3 and biotech firms, dietician providers and university scientists will present a wealth of information.

The event will be held in Chicago, July 16 to 17. For more information, visit the short course Web site.

You can also access the event via the International Omega-3 Learning and Education Consortium for Health and Medicine, an alliance of university scientists and other omega-3 experts; their site is abundant with industry information and omega-3 reference resources for consumers and health professionals.
