Fortitech Shows Fortification Technologies at Chinese Conference

SHANGHAI, China—Fortitech Asia Pacific highlighted new trends and food fortification initiatives at Food Ingredients China (FIC) 2006, an Asian food industry trade show.

Fortitech Asia Pacific demonstrated how custom nutrient premixes can be successfully incorporated into food applications, increasing nutrient and product value. In addition, the company exhibited new applications designed to boost heart and immune health, including three complete healthy beverage concepts, a fortified snack seasoning, vitamin/mineral supplements and a fortified confection.

Fortitech also exhibited products marketed for children’s health, including a specialized premix for snack seasoning that can be used in noodles, corn or rice-based snacks for children, containing calcium, phosphorus and zinc, as well as a multi-vitamin gummy bear formulated with age-specific amounts of vitamins A, C, E and folic acid.
