USP Releases New USP-NF, Plans Supplements

ROCKVILLE, Md.--The U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) announced its new edition of the United States Pharmacopeia and National Formulary (USP-NF) is available. Supplements will be released in February (official April 1) and June (official Aug. 1). USP 29-NF 24 includes more than 88 new monographs and 404 revised monographs. Eleven new/revised general chapters will affect practices for pharmacists and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The new edition is available in print, CD and online formats; a new option for the online format, My USP-NF, allows customized searches and bookmarks. In addition, a Spanish version of the USP 29-NF 24 is available in print. Further details are available online (www.usp.org).
