the acquisition of PureWorld Inc. by Naturex S.A. in mid-July, the two companies
will jointly exhibit at SupplySide West in Las Vegas this month. According to
Naturex, the acquisition has enhanced the offerings and operations at Naturex.
While the company previously supplied the Nat’Active® line of more than 300
botanical extracts, the PureWorld acquisition enhanced the products available,
adding ingredients such as maca, black cohosh, yerba mate, guarana and
quintozene-free ginseng. PureWorld also holds a U.S. patent (No. 6,682,697) on
its PurePowder™ technology, allowing sterilization of its botanical powders
without use of ethylene oxide or irradiation. The combined Naturex/PureWorld
operation has industrial sites in California, New Jersey, France and Morocco.
