Tishcon Donation Launches Vitamin Angels Iraq Campaign

WESTBURY, N.Y.Tishcon Corp. stepped forward as the first donor in an industry-wide campaign to collect vitamins for post-war relief efforts in Iraq, announced Howard Schiffer, president of Vitamin Angel Alliance. Tishcon (www.tishcon.com) donated 1 million vitamins to the Vitamin Angel Alliance. Were enormously grateful to Raj and Arun Chopra for responding to our call with their generous donation, Schiffer said. Half the population of Iraq is under the age of 15, and our industry is in a unique position to save many young lives. We hope other companies will follow Tishcons lead and provide the multivitamins, childrens chewable vitamins and vitamin C needed for this effort.
