Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine Inc. entered a joint research agreement with the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI) to determine the radio protective benefits of Biopolymer's patented beta 1,3 glucans and to implement the effects. Biopolymer also announced Scotts Valley, Calif.-based Source Naturals will use the WGP Beta Glucan in a new dietary supplement. "The importance of immune health and the science of yeast beta-glucan make this an exciting new product," said Ira Goldberg, chief executive officer of Source Naturals (www.sourcenaturals.com). "Biopolymer Engineering's leadership in beta-glucan technology made them the obvious choice as our supplier."
