ADAM Acquires Integrative Medicine Communications

ATLANTA--ADAM Inc., a developer of interactive consumer health information, acquired Integrative Medicine Communications, a provider of science-based information on wellness and alternative medicine to health care professionals. Under terms of the transaction, ADAM (www.adamcorp.com) issued 470,000 shares of its common stock for the outstanding shares of Integrative Medicine. ADAM expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings in 2002.

"The technology and intellectual property assets Integrative has developed are widely considered to be the finest in the industry," said Robert Cramer Jr., ADAM's chairman and chief executive officer. "We expect to capitalize on Integrative's brand in the large and growing area of complementary and alternative medicine [CAM]."
