Health & Nutrition Systems Announces Positive 3Q04 Results

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—Health & Nutrition Systems International Inc. (AMEX:HNNS) announced financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2004 ended Sept. 30 (3Q04).

For 3Q04, revenues were approximately $2.4 million, compared to revenues of approximately $1.9 million for the same period in 2003 (3Q03). Gross profit for 3Q04 was $1.4 million or 60 percent of revenue, compared to 3Q03’s gross profit of $1.1 million or 59 percent of revenue. The company reported a net profit of $185,899 ($0.05 per share) for 3Q04, compared to a net profit of $183,835 ($0.05 per share) for 3Q03.

Earlier this year, the company filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code, and is currently operating as debtor in possession.
