Sports Nutrition Companies Merge
PROVO, Utah--Basic Research, a weight-loss and sports nutrition company based here, merged with New Jersey-based Total Nutritional Technologies (TNT), another sports nutrition company, to become Basic Research Sports. As part of the merger, TNT will manage the sales and marketing of Basic Research's sports nutrition lines, while six of TNT's body-enhancing products will now be included into Basic Research's product lines. Dennis Gay, president of Basic Research, said this was an exciting venture for both companies. "[TNT] knows what products are popular in gyms and fitness centers across the country, and they know their clients very well," he added.
