Kemin Foods Provides Two Cancer Grants
SAN FRANCISCO--Kemin Foods, www.kemin.com, maker of FloraGLO Lutein, provided one-year grants to researchers studying the role of lutein and zeaxanthin in skin cancer. The awardees were Salvador Gonzalez of Harvard Medical School and Richard Granstein of Cornell University. The grants were awarded at the Skin Cancer Foundation's Annual Awards reception, held during the American Academy of Dermatology conference.
Additionally, Doug Reyes was appointed national accounts manager of dietary supplements at Kemin Foods. He will be responsible for managing sales activities to vitamin and dietary supplement manufacturers located west of the Mississippi River. Previously, Reyes was a territory manager for Helm New York and a founder and president of Reliance Nutritional Materials Inc.
