ZMC Supports CoQ10 Benchmark Study

06/04/2007

HOUSTONZMC-Kougen USA, part of Zhejiang Medicine Co., announced a benchmark study was conducted on its coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) by two Japanese independent labs, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Hokkaido University and Japan Food Research Laboratories. According to the company, the benchmark assay consistently averages 99.69 percent; the cisisomer content (found in synthetic material) is non-existent; and the number of impurities was equal to the top-ranked material.

The results confirm no unknown impurities exist in ZMC CoQ10 and that it is equal to or better than other fermented CoQ10 materials, according to Sander Krupski, national sales manager, ZMC-Kougen USA (www.zmckougen.com). “From our introduction in 2006, ZMC has captured a significant market share in CoQ10 due to the fact that we produce a quality ingredient and ZMC has the manufacturing capacity to supply 63 percent of the U.S. market,” he added. “Additionally, we have brought responsible pricing to the consumer. Now that ZMC has become the world’s second largest fermented CoQ10 supplier, the costs are reasonable and the supply is sufficient.”
