(www.decascranberry.com), introduced PACran™ whole cranberry powder standardized to cranberry proanthocyanidins (PACs), using a proprietary manufacturing process and the Early Black cranberry cultivar, which is naturally higher in PACs. Cranberry PACs contain a unique A-type structure that is reportedly the primary compound responsible for cranberry’s anti-adhesion activity that protects the body from harmful bacteria. PACran is standardized for PAC content, and supplies no less than 1.5 percent of cranberry PACs, measured via HPLC. P.L. Thomas & Co.
