Calcium Peptacan® is a novel glycosaminoglycan polypeptide complex designed to promote healthy joints and relieve symptoms of arthritic conditions. Derived from New Zealand-sourced bovine tracheal cartilage with high levels of chondroitin sulfate, Calcium Peptacan promotes regeneration of the cellular components of joint cartilage. According to Waitaki (www.waitakibio.com), its patented processing technique utilizes naturally present enzymes to create an ingredient with a unique molecular composition that is free of intracellular contaminants such as nucleic acids.
Waitaki also launched the Nutratherapy® range of dietary supplements, including Super Bone Food, Super Joint Restorer and Skin Rejuvenator. Microcrystalline Hydroxyapatite, a biological matrix with natural calcium, phosphorus, collagen, amino acids and trace minerals, is the basis for Super Bone Food, which also features vitamins D and K1 plus boron and magnesium. Super Joint Restorer includes greenshell mussel powder—a natural marine anti-inflammatory agent, plus glucosamine, type II collagen and chondroitin sulfate.
