Lonza L-Carnitine Inspected

BASEL, Switzerland--Lonza Ltd.'s Visp Fine Chemicals Complex was inspected by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA also inspected Lonza's Multipurpose Plant, its Pilot Plant and corresponding QC laboratories that produce L-Carnitine USP and Niacin, non-sterile active pharmaceutical ingredients.

The FDA concluded that the Visp complex is acceptable for manufacturing L-Carnitine as a non-sterile active pharmaceutical ingredient. Lonza is online at www.lonzagroup.com.
