Report Highlights EU Food Regs

BRUSSELS, Belgium--A new report entitled "Marketing Food Supplements, Fortified & Functional Foods In Europe--Legislation & Practice 2000," has been released by the European Advisory Services (EAS). The report describes the different laws and market practices that those looking to market nutritional products will encounter in Europe.

It pays special attention to the widest national divergences between European countries. Those divergences include regulations concerning ingredients and allowable levels of daily requirements, health claims, notification and registration procedures and distribution packages.
